Hope somebody can help me. I'm trying to figure out any possible relationship, professional or otherwise, between the "Squire" John Terhune family and the family of Cornelius Hardenbergh of New Brunswick. The 1855 city directory shows Terhune's office at 31 Albany and Hardenbergh's at 76 Albany--I assume these would have been fairly close together but does anyone know for sure about the lay-of-the-land along Albany? Both were lawyers..both prominent local families..both had sons born in 1830 (Augustus Hardenbergh and the Reverend Edward P. Terhune). Anybody know more?
