I am searching for any information on a Captain Edward Clements who received a Patent for land in Middlesex County on the Rariton River in 1684. I believe he may have sold that land by 1692 when I find him in Burlington Co. Does anyone have a record of such a transfer of title to 500 acres from Clements to ??? Is there a history of Middlesex Co which covers persons living there prior to 1700? Thanks for any assistance on finding the trail of my ancestor.
