Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/zQB.2ACE/1820.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Maybe my description was confusing, but Neshanic Station is, in fact, on the north side of the river and one has to cross the bridge to get to it from the area designated "Neshanic" on Route 514. I don't know this for a fact, but the post office might be located there since it was on the RR line (hence Neshanic Station.) It is possible that mail is delivered throughout all areas known as Neshanic from the Neshanic Station post office. Neshanic has no clearly discernable "town" layout while Neshanic Station does with some interesting Victorian houses. On weekends there is a small but interesting flea market on the bank of the river under the bridge. (It even has a decent good-old-boy country bar.) Neshanic's major feature is the crossroads of Route 514 and Route 547 with its historic church and three-way stop that is a pleasure to behold at 5:45 PM. It also has a village theater that has gained a following beyond it's geographical area.
