Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newjersey.counties.middlesex/4073.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Could you tell me weather they were Protestant or Catholic? From what info you do have, I think they would be at 1. Elmwood Cemetery, located at the end of Commercial Avenue in New Brunswick Tel. (732) 545-1445. The Chief/Cook and Bottlewasher is a gentleman by the name of Kearny Kuhlthau. This is a VAST place, it's easy to get lost in there. So I'd suggest giving him all the info you possibly have. As you must know, up until about 40 or 50 years ago the records were haphazard. If they were Roman Catholic I'd say they were buried at St. Peter's Cemetery on the other side of the city at French and Somerset Sts Tel (732) 249-0894. The man who has almost singlehandedly ran the cemetery for over 50 years is Mr. Carroll (started opening graves by hand when he was 18 and never left) His wife was the secretary for many years and his son now opens graves there And at Elmwood Cemetery! Again, give him all the info you have cause it's like looking for a 'needle in a haystack'. Best of Luck in your search! Christopher N. Mella
