An excerpt from a compilation of Noe Family History in Middlesex, New Jersey, which was compiled by my grandmother's aunts and uncles. "New Jersey Noes in the Revolutionary War: Amos, Andrew, James, John, Lewis, Marsh, Peter and Samuel enrolled in Militia in Essex Co., NJ. William B. Chitwood, Abraham Noe, and James Parker all in same unit. From Official Register of the Officers and Men of New Jersey, by Stryker, Vol. 2, page 704. Isaac's fourth son, Abraham, may also have been a revolutionary war soldier. His great-grandson, Jeremiah B. Noe, had a musket which was reportedly carried by his grandfather in the Revolution."
