Conover (46) and his wife Martha (45) are in the 1850 U.S. census living in So. Brunswick Twp., NJ. Also listed are their children Martha (22), Mary (19), Rebecca (15), Wm. (12), Sarah (10), Jane (8) and John (6). Some of So. Brunswick Twp. became part of Cranbury. Their historical society informed me they had no records of this family. My connection is through Rebecca. The Hightstown newspaper had an article re: John, son of Wm. V. dying in the Battle of Winchester in 1864. His mother, Martha, applied for a pension based on her son's service.
