Lewis and his wife, Mary Elizabeth DYCKMAN are my great grandparents. They relocated to South River from Verplanck's Point, Westchester, NY. Lewis is listed in the US-NJ 1880 Census as an Engineer Boatman. He might have been employed in the brickmaking industry.
