My grandfather, John "Jack" Meany (1887-1957), lived in New Brunswick from 1921-1933. He was co-owner of the B&M Bus Co. on Suydam Street along with John Birch. John Meany was also a boxing promoter, promoting fights at the armory in Highland Park and later at the New Brunswick Sports Arena, which was built in 1929 behind the New Brunswick Natatorium. I have been able to find some newspaper articles in the Daily Home News in 1929 and the New Brunswick Courier-Journal in 1930, detailing some of the fights. They do mention my grandfather, but I'd really like to find additional information about the boxing scene in New Brunswick. I'd really love to find some old posters advertising the fights! If anyone can be of help, I would be greatly appreciative. Bob Meany
