It was destroyed a few years ago. I'm quoting from the book "Images of America: Perth Amboy" by Joan Seguine-LeVine: p. 125 "The famous landscape artist George Innes lived and worked in a studio at the corner of Convery Blvd and Smith Street. This residence was built for him by Marcus Spring, generally credited as the founder of Eagleswood. "Peace and Plenty", a work now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, was created by Innes as a repayment for Spring." -- Michelle Tucker Carteret, NJ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OKGenWeb County Coordinator: Cherokee Co.: http://www.rootsweb.com/~okchero2/index.htm OKGenWeb Archives: Adair Co.: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/adair/adair.html Sequoyah Co.: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/sequoyah/sequoyah.html Michelle's Home Page: http://members.home.net/famhist/shell.htm Countiss Connections: http://members.home.net/famhist/countiss.htm
