Harriet AYERS was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, October 18, 1804. She moved to Delaware County, Ohio, with her father, Thomas AYERS, in 1820. Harriet married David WHITE in 1822. I spent yesterday at the Orlando, FL, library, searching the New Jersey info for information about Thomas AYERS. Can anyone tell me if either of these Thomas AYERS individuals moved to Ohio? or provide any other clues? In the will of Robert Ross, Jr., a bequest is left to granddaughter Mary, Wife of Thomas Ayres. The will is dated August 15, 1810. In the will of Peter Ayers of Wantage Township, Sussex County, a bequest is left to son Thomas Ayers, to be left in the hands of his other sons David and Jacob until "Thomas shall personally appear to receive it himself."
