    1. NJ State Archives
    2. The question was asked about the archives--whether it was worth it to go. I try to go at least once a month, it has been invaluable to my research. Just a few resources they have include--all NJ wills on film up to 1900, death records July 1848-1940, birth and marriage records July 1848-I believe 1924, Grantor-Grantee records, NJ census records and soundex plus many other records. Copies are 50 cents each. Their web site should give you hours and other information. The library upstairs from the archives also has books dealing with genealogy from all over the US and other countries, city directories on film and fiche and early census records for the whole US to 1820, some PA census records and book indexes to the various state censuses up to 1850. Hope this is helpful! Kathy
