Lee Civil War Round Table of Central New Jersey Contact: Jay Jorgensen, President Phone: 732-326-1611 Date: January 22, 1999 CIVIL WAR LIBRARY EXPANDS COLLECTION THROUGH GENEROUS GRANT Thanks to a $2,500 grant from the Tomlinson Foundation, the Civil War Library and Research Center, Woodbridge, NJ, has purchased two new sets of primary source material. The Library purchased The Official Records of the Union and Confederate Navies, and the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States (MOLLUS). This complements the Library's existing 2,000 volume holdings which includes The Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies and the Southern Historical Society Papers. The Library is one of the few institutions in the tri-state area to hold all four of these valuable collections of primary source material on the American Civil War. The Civil War Library and Research Center is open to the public and is operated by the Robert E. Lee Civil War Round Table of Central New Jersey, a 180-member, 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, study and dissemination of information about the American Civil War.
