My ggrandfather, James Young Campbell was born in 1819, and according to censuses it was in New Jersey. Recent family information found states:" Two Campbell brothers came from Scotland to America in 1727 settling in New Jersey. One of the brothers went south. The son of the brother who stayed in New Jersey and his family moved to near Dayton, Ohio, he had one girl and three boys, and he died at age 85" I realize this is very scant information, but if it connects to anyone's family, would be most happy to exchange information and pictures. James Young Campbell was in the LaPorte Co. IN census of 1850, later going to Spring Valley, MN and then to Summit SD . We think that two Campbells found in Hungtington Co.
