Abraham CRUSER born Jun 1 1733 Staten Island NY died Apr 2 1819, buried Kingston Cemetery, Mapletown, Middlesex County, NJ; son of Cornelius Cruser and Helena Van Tuyl. Abraham is supposed to have married first Rachel BEEKMAN; he did marry (second?) Apr 5 1758 Martha DOOLHAGEN of Mapletown NJ. Abraham and Martha had a son Cornelius who married Eleanor Longstreet. Cornelius and Eleanor had a daughter Rachel who married Abraham C. Beekman. Burial record Harlingen Cemetery at Belle Mead NJ: BEEKMAN, Abraham C.; wife Rachel Cruser, daughter of Cornelius and Ellen Cruser, d. Mar 19 1818; buried next to Eleanor Longstreet wife of Cornelius Cruser. Does this indicate that Rachel Beekman who is supposed to have married Abraham Cruser as his first wife before 1758 was actually Rachel Cruser Beekman (his granddaughter), and somewhere along the way she was wrongfully assigned as spouse to Abraham? Is there other evidence aside from Cruser family genealogies of a marriage between Abraham Cruser and an earlier Rachel Beekman? Thank you for any assistance, Doris Lane
