Dear friends, My experience with Plattsburg gave rise to thoughts of recording town name changes. I discussed this with Joe Patterson and he can set up a place on our archives. If any of you know of towns in NJ whose names have changed and would be kind enough to send them on to me, I will put them in list form and send them off to Joe, who will post them in our web Archives. I had thought of this before, and recorded (for personal use) the town name changes I found in Ellis' "History of Monmouth Co., NJ." Below is my start for the list from this and a couple of other books. I've moved from Monmouth about 30 yrs. ago, so if someone spots an error, please let me know. I won't be offended at the correction. Because Monmouth is so connected to Burlington, Ocean, Mercer & Middlesex through family movements, I'm posting this project to those lists, too. With that in mind, attach county names to your submissions.
