I am also interested in this migration as I am seeking parents of a Mary RUNYAN who, March 15, 1778, in Brucetown, Frederick Co., VA, married James Bruce, Jr. He was b. April 2, 1760 in Brucetown, Frederick Co., VA, and d. Jan. 6, 1835 in Corydon, Harrison Co., IN. I have 3 grandchildren descended from that couple, though their oldest child, Anne Bruce, b. March 14, 1780 in Allegheny Co., PA. In all likelihood, Mary Runyan was descended from the Runyon/Runyan family of Piscataway, NJ -- but I haven't been able to tie her to parents as yet.
