Have now (July 98) learned that SAMUEL MCFARSON b. April 4, 1709 possibly in Piscataway, Middlesex Co. NJ --d. Sept 1772 in Kingwood Twp. Hunterdon co. NJ was father of JOHN MCFARSON b. 1736 probably in Piscataway NJ. and 7 others who all came to Kingwood Twp. Need information on wife or parents of SAMUEL MCFARSON b. 1709.-d. 1772. Also trying to find information on a grandson of SAMUEL MCFARSON named JOHN MCFARSON. In the 1785 will of SAMUEL's son JOHN he mentions 5 "older children and ELIZABETH and her 2 sons NATHAN and ZACHARIAH" It is not clear if this ELIZABETH is JOHN's b. 1738 daughter-in-law, (wife of a son JOHN who was already desceased) or a second wife to the JOHN b. 1738 that is son of SAMUEL b. 1709. It is not clear if SAMUEL was born in NJ. He files his earmark in Piscataway town records in 1728. It is believed he married in Piscataway but we do not know date or wife REBECCA's maiden name. First child ANNA MCFARSON was born April 4, 1736 in Piscataway Middlesex Co. NJ. died young.
