During the nineteenth century there were two people by the name of NELSON PETTY,living in Middlesex county. The younger Nelson Petty was born 22 October 1856, son of DAVID PETTY born 2 April, 1812. I need information on David Petty’s birth location, parents, etc. Also need on the older Nelson. The only information I have is from an old book on New Jersey “by-ways” which tells about him living in Cranbury in a haunted house and dying in his bathtub! Iam assuming the younger Nelson, my husband’s grandfather, was named after the older one ,and probably was a relation. Shirley Eliot Dunn Petty
