    1. Colonial Perth Amboy
    2. Hello, everyone. I am doing a genealogical research on Phineas MackIntosh, born ca. 1695. From various sources, it appears that he was a lawyer and a merchant. It seems like he was a resident of Perth-Amboy ca. 1725. He was also a landowner of over 2,000 acres in Orange County, New York. I am not familiar with the colonial history of Perth-Amboy and would appreciate any help I can get. I am interested in know what kind of resources are available for colonial Perth Amboy and Middlesex County, except for the NJ State series which I already consulted several times for this case. Sources suggesting that Phineas MackIntosh was living in Perth Amboy ca. 1725 Calendar of New Jersey Wills, Vol. 1, p.146 Phins McIntosh, a witness for the will of Charles Dunster of Perth Amboy, 25 April 1726. Documents Relating to the Colonial History of NJ Vol. XI Extracts from American newspapers relating to New Jersey, p.94 3 August 1725 "All Persons concerned are hereby informed. That a Council of Proprieteros of the Eastern Division of New Jersey, are to meet at the House of Phineas MackIntosh at Perth-Amboy, on Tuesday the 10th of this Instant August." Many thanks, Gary
