It's a shame >to lose old buildings, but sometimes their owners have no choice. In this case, I believe that it's the latter, the congregation has a new church and was supporting the older church building. I was hoping that we had a member of the congregation on the list or at least someone who lives in South River who knows the inside story. The newspaper that published the story did an incredibly "fluffy" piece, there was no "meat" in the story whatsoever. To me, the destruction of a historic landmark and the selling off of a "priceless" stained glass window from the church for $5,000 deserved a better news article than what was in the paper. I did receive a few emails regarding the subject but I've been extremely busy this past week and haven't had the time to sift through them yet. Glenn G.
