Hi Everyone! I have confirmed information that my grandfather, Felix Michael RING (born 1893) attended school in 1904 at Public School No. 1 in South River, Middlesex County, NJ. His teacher was Teresa SMITH. My grandfather was born with the surname KWASNY, but used the surname RING his entire life. It's possible that while living in the South River area, he resided with relatives with any of these surnames: BLOCK / BLOCH / CARROLL / DEKWECZ / KWASNY / RING. It is quite possible Felix lived with an aunt, Clementine BLOCK or RING or KWASNY. I am searching for Clementine, along with any information or records on Public School No. 1 in 1904. Numerous emails and countless long distance calls to the school district proved fruitless. Sources also confirm that Felix's family once lived in Patterson, NJ. I am particularly interested in Felix Michael Ring's school registration papers. If anyone knows of a historical society or library that might have school records, please email me. Or, if someone would PLEASE do lookups (I live in Florida) for the school records or 1905 census records, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your time, and any responses.
