I am searching for any information on STEPHEN HOOPER who moved from Middlesex County, NJ about 1820 with his 2nd wife, ELLA/ELLEN PRALL and five children from his first marriage to Sophia (------). The first stop I am aware of was in Wheeling VA (WVA) where their son Clement was born. My gr gr gr grandmother, Caroline Hooper Maynard was born 31 Dec 1827 in Belmont County, OH. I have several Deeds for Stephen Hooper and Ann/Nancy in Middlesex County. I believe this Stephen to be Stephen's father. I would like to place Ella/Ellen in a Prall family, and also am searching for proof of Stephen's birth (ca 1788) to Stephen and Ann/Nancy. The information that I have so far places them in the area along the Raritan River, at Cranbury Presbyterian Church, and some in Perth Amboy.
