    1. [NJMIDDLE] MORGAN's (+ WARNE's) of So. Amboy, NJ
    2. Hello I am researching Daniel MORGAN who m. May 17, 1787 to Elizabeth WARNE, dau. of Joshua WARNE and Meleny DISBROW. Daniel might be the Daniel MORGAN listed in the So. Amboy 1793 census. There were 3 other MORGANS: Charles, James and John Does anyone have any information on the MORGAN family/families of So. Amboy? I believe that my 4th great grandfather, William MORGAN who m. 1816 Elizabeth OGDEN might have been the son of Daniel and Elizabeth (WARNE) MORGAN. My William Morgan was of Randolph, Morris Co,, NJ in 1816. There was a William Morgan taxed in Randolph from 1816-1818. There also was a Daniel MORGAN taxed there in 1816-1817. The only other MORGAN was a Philip, taxed 1806 and 1818. Joshua WARNE, in his will left....direct my executors to pay unto my two grand sons Joshua Morgan and William Morgan, sons of my daughter Elizabeth Morgan, dec'd the one fourth of the moneys arising from the sales of my Personal estate to be divided equally between them, one year after my decease, or until they arrive to the age of twenty one years...p.273 *** this coincides with William Morgan having land in 1815***** William Morgan would have been about 23/4, and possibly his younger brother Joshua might have been a minor, so his father, Daniel, might have purchased the land in Randolph for him, hence, the tax records in Daniels name. Or, father, Daniel might have bought land with his son in Randolph. I'd greatly appreciate any help with this family. I have been searching for years for clues. Thank you. Tracy
