    1. [NJMIDDLE] Marriage License Applications?
    2. Dear Gentlepeople, I'm trying to figure out where I might write to obtain a copy of my deceased grandparents' marriage license application (ca. 1943 or 1944). They were married in Fort Dix - I don't know if that's within the scope of this list, but since this is the list I belong to, I was hoping some good Gentleperson might know the answer anyway. It's really the license *application* I'm interested in, not the license itself, but I checked the vitalchek.com website anyway. The NJ Vital Statistics Office says that copies of marriage licenses will only be issued to "parties to the marriage" - does that extend to include the next of kin, when the primary parties are deceased? (I do have their death certificates, in case proof is needed.) Thank you for your generous help, and stay safe and warm. Sherill
