I have written to the Dutch Reformed Church of 6 Mile Run (Franklin Park) NJ concerning death or tombstone information on my Rappleyea ancestors but have received no reply. I have that there is a church cemetery about a mile away from the church. If anyone happens to be in that area researching in cemeteries, I would appreciate any information on the following people: Richard (Dirck) Rappleyea (ca. 1769- Ca. 1829) and his wife Alice (Elsje) and other relatives of this couple. I believe that Richard's parents were Jerome and Mathilda Rappleyea and his grandparents may have been Derick and Antje Rappleyea. Richard and Alice had children named Jerome, Joseph and possibly Mathilda. Cornelius and George (Joris) were also common names in this family. This cemetery is not copied into the Somerset County Historical Quarterly and I have not found it on LDS microfilms. if anyone knows where tombstone inscription or any kind of records after 1805 can be found for this church, please let me know. (I have found baptismal records 1743-1805 but nothing else.) Thanks much.
