My main purpose in subscribing to the Middlesex County list is to research the Rappleyea branch of my family. My gggrandfather, Richard R. Rappleyea, was born in or around New Brunswick in Middlesex County, around 1814 or 1815. His parents were Richard and Alice Rappleyea. I am very interested in any church, civil, cemetery or other records that could tell me more about this family. I have found militia data, newspaper abstracts, census records, which show people named Richard, Jeromus and Abraham Rappleyea in Middlesex and in neighboring Somerset County, but do not have enough information to make any links.
