Hi Mary, Even though you mention New Brunswick, I looked in a book I have THE STORY OF MILLTOWN, by H. Rodney Luery, Published A. S. Barnes & Co.1971 - ISBN: 0-498-07960-0. My husband is from Milltown, (Middlesex County) NJ and the RAPPELYEA name rang a bell with him. These are the references I found to RAPPELYEA: STAFFORD L. RAPPELYEA was the second Mayor of Milltown, He was elected on March 12th, 1901 and held office for one term. Mayor STAFFORD L. RAPPELYEA replaced the first Mayor of Milltown, JOHN C. EVANS, who held office from 1896 TO 1901. Stafford Rappelyea was replaced in 1903 by the third Mayor of Milltown, Mayor FERNINAND E. RIVA, who held office from 1903 to 1905. There is also mention of a CLARA WORTHGE RAPPELYEA as being a member of the American Legion's Perry-Worthge Post's Ladies Auxiliary - in 1929. Hope this helps and good luck, RUTH ___________________ Ruth(Grady) & Don Skewis ruth4527@pacbell.net > -----Original Message----- > From: Mary Hobein [mailto:mhobein@hotmail.com] > Sent: Sunday, January 16, 2000 1:37 PM > To: NJMIDDLE-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [NJMIDDLE] Richard Rappleyea and Cornelia Anderson > > > Seeking information on my great-great-grandfather's family: > > Husband: Richard R.
