Hello Everyone! A State of New Jersey Department of Public Instruction record for 1904 shows Felix Michael RING attending Public School No. 1 in the South River school district. I am searching the surname RING in Middlesex County, South River, and Patterson, NJ. The principal of Public School No. 1 in 1904 was William CAMPBELL, and the teacher was Theresa SMITH. Felix Michael RING was born in Bridgeport, CT and moved to the South River area sometime between his birth, which was in the year 1893, and the date of the record which is 1904. Numerous correspondence to the "current day" Middlesex County schools have turned up nothing. I am searching for any RING families in the South River, Middlesex or Patterson, NJ area that may help me learn more about my grandfather's life when he lived in NJ. Felix Michael RING lived in CT, NJ, NY, and PA. He spoke fluent Russian, German, Polish and several other languages. Felix Michael RING was a superintendent for the A&P Stores throughout NJ, PA, and NY. He was also a translater for construction crews in these states in the early 1900's. In 1938 he opened a 5&10 in Adams, Jefferson County, NY and lived there until his death in 1983. It is possible that other members of Felix's family may have lived in these locations at the same time. The family members: Helen Barbara RING (mother) - John Joseph RING (brother) - Barbara Helene RING/DEKWECZ (sister) - Leopold RING (brother), and possibly Arnold Adolph RING (father). We don't know if Arnold immigrated to the U.S. Also, Felix Michael RING may have lived with a family by the name of CARROL or CARROLL in NJ. I am also searching any CARROL / CARROLL family members that may have knowledge or memeories of Felix Michael RING, who was also known as Fred or F.M. Any information that can lead me to the RING family would be greatly appreciated. Further information on the RING family may be found on my webpages. Thank you for your time and any response.
