    2. Ruth Skewis
    3. Hi Larry, I didn't know what you wanted in the way of a "look-up" so I did the only thing I could... Listed below is what I found on my Social Security Disks for ANNA RODGERS dying in New Jersey. I found no ANNA WARNER RODGERS. Note, the Zip code of last known residence is not necessarily where she lived. It could be the hospital she was in, the Mortuary or relative who got the death benefit check. Not knowing your zip codes, I listed all of New Jersey for you. I didn't find any Anna Rodgers dying in 1956. Just because she is not listed does not mean that she did not have a number, many folks were left off these lists (including my folks who had SS#'s!) Are you familiar with the benefits of ordering a copy of the SS Form 5 (Application for Social Security Card) from the Social Security Administration for your family? This is the original Social Security application that they made way back when. It shows their name, address at the time, date of birth, job and job address, parent's names and place of birth IN THEIR OWN HAND. It's the form your folks filled out, not a typed copy. the cost is $7.00 if you have the SS # and $16.50 without the SS#. If you want it, I have the address and particulars on this.. Good Luck, RUTH ___________________ Ruth(Grady) & Don Skewis ruth4527@pacbell.net Social Security Death Index: U.S., 1937-1997 Rodgers, Anna Birth date : Mar 5, 1892 Issued in : New York Death date : Apr 1985 SS# : 050-22-0555 Residence code : New Jersey Zip code of last known residence : 07646 Rodgers, Anna Birth date : Jul 9, 1905 Issued in : New York Death date : Jul 1976 SS# : 055-18-4707 Residence code : New Jersey Zip code of last known residence : 07922 Rodgers, Anne Birth date : Jan 4, 1915 Issued in : New Jersey Death date : Nov 27, 1992 SS# : 157-07-5800 Zip code of last known residence : 08753 ================================================= > -----Original Message----- > From: Larry A Warner [mailto:warnerlarry@juno.com] > Sent: Tuesday, February 01, 2000 9:17 PM > To: NJMIDDLE-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [NJMIDDLE] Fw: Anna Warner Rodgers > > > Hello Listers > I am new to list and If possible I would appreciate a > look-up on a ANNA WARNER RODGERS. > She died 6 Apr. 1956. > Her funeral was held at Perth Amboy, N.J. and buried > on a family plot in a cemetery in Linden, N.J. > > I have no knowledge of her Obit nor whether the family > plot was Warner or Rodgers. 3. Hi Nancy, We had the same problem - but he have solved it!!! Our family records would sometimes refer to Evergreen Cemetery and sometimes refer to Evergreen-Elmwood Cemetery. When I posted to this list last November asking for the information on these two cemeteries, I got all sorts of help and would like to pass it on to you. Thanks Barry and all others who helped me! EVERGREEN CEMETERY North Brunswick, NJ PHONE: 1-732-249-5686 The caretaker is hard to reach. The lawyers who are trustees of this cemetery are MC GIMPSY/KAFFERT1-732=297-8300 Here's a contact we made at EVERGREEN: Mr. Eugene Volker 102 Chester Circle New Brunswick, NJ 08901 Turned out my husbands folks were not at EVERGREEN (which is physically part of ELMWOOD - but a separate cemetery), so Mr. Volker referred our inquiry to: Mr. Kearney Kulthau, President of ELMWOOD CEMETERY ASSOCIATION P.O. Box 387 New Brunswick, NJ 18903-0387 Phone: 1-406-545-1445 (that area code could be 408) This description of ELMWOOD from the this NJMIDDLE-L site/North Brunswick/Cemeteries: Elmwood Cemetery 425 Georges Road North Brunswick, NJ 08902 Years of Operation: 1836-Present Non-Sectarian Records are available for searches and are housed at office located at 360 Commercial Ave. New Brunswick. By appointment 732-545-1445 Mr. Kulthau was most helpful and we now have the records of our folks who are buried at ELMWOOD (not Evergreen or Evergreen/Elmwood!!) BTW - Undertaker Wm. H. Quackenboss-Voorhees is on many of our cemetery cards from Elmwood Cemetery also... 1. [NJMIDDLE] help with Perth Amboy City directory look up
    2. I am trying to fill in blanks on my husband's grandfather, SHILBY SALLOOM. The address on his naturalization paper in 1924 was 370 Layette St. Perth Amboy. He may have worked on the docks and was killed right before his son arrived in the US. Because he was naturalized in 1924 I am guessing that he may have arrived around 1919. Would anyone be able to look him up in City Directories from 1920-1927? Perhaps then I can find an occupation and some relatives that he may have lived with. Thanks. Susan

    3. Hi, here is my family as I know it so far. Descendants of RICHARD RUNYON Generation No. 1 1. RICHARD RUNYON was born 1827 in NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ.. He married MARGARET HERRICK. She was born 1830 in NEW JERSEY. DIED 4-6-1893, BURIED ELM WOOD CEMETERY, NJ Children of RICHARD RUNYON and MARGARET HERRICK are: i. CAROLINE (CARRIE) RUNYON, b. 1854. 2. ii. GEORGE J. RUNYON, b. Abt. 1863, NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ.; d. Abt. 1892, DAKOTA TERRITORY. Generation No. 2 2. GEORGE J. RUNYON was born Abt. 1863 in NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ., and died Abt. 1892 in DAKOTA TERRITORY. He married MARIA A. CORLIES December 31, 1883 in LONG BRANCH, NJ., daughter of JOHN CORLIES and DEBORAH COOK. She was born July 5, 1868 in LONG BRANCH, NJ., and died March 1909 in ALEXANDRIA, VA. I just spoke to MR. Kuhlthau at Elmwood Cemetery, and he verified that Richard is also buried there, but he was apparently moved there (April 29, 1893) from another cemetery and buried along side Margaret after she died, (April 6, 1893). He also told me that are quite a few Runyons and Lippencotts buried there. I suppose there is already a listing of the graves, if anyone has one I would appreciate a copy or know how to obtain one. Any information appreciated, Thanks, Ken Jints86@aol.com wrote: > > Hi > Are the people you are asking about from recent generations? Any ages, birth > dates available? 1. [NJMIDDLE] RD church in New Brunswick, Middlesex Co, NJ
    2. Mary Hobein
    3. I ran across some Rapalje information in a genealogy of the Lefferts family. Mary Ann Rapalje (born, March 17, 1803) daughter of Richard Rapalje and Alice Conover of New Brunswick, married Nicholas R. Cowenhoven Lefferts in 1822. In 1835, she "became a communicant of the RD church of New Brunswick"; Her daughter, Sarah Lefferts(B.Feb 18, 1823) "joined the RD Church of New Brunswick August 31, 1855 on certificate" and another daughter, Maria Beson Lefferts, was baptised in the RD Church of New Brunswick. Can anyone tell me anything about this church and explain the terminology of communicant and joined on certificate as opposed to being baptised? Does anyone know if this church still exists and if their records can be researched? It seems that the Mormons have microfilmed the The Third Protestant Dutch Reformed Church of New Brunswick but only from 1851-1901. I am interested in records from the late 18th and early 19th century.
