    3. To Ron Kyser, (and everyone with the same idea) Thank you for your suggestion. Robert McEwen is my brother and definitely descended form James McEwen and Robert Ruddy. My brother tried finding the origin in Ireland of the Ruddy and McEwen ancestors for three years before I started working on it. Jeannette McEwen Wolff Ron answered: >You could try asking Mr. Robert McEWEN, the caretaker at the First >Presbyterian Church in Woodbridge. 2. Sandra Naehrig
    3. Does anyone have or have access to the above book? I have asked the lookup volunteer for this source on the Middlesex site twice and received no answer. I would like to know if there is any mention of Lutheran Morris or Francis Frazer/Frazee between 1700 and 1783, Woodbridge area. I would really appreciate it if someone could check for me. Regards, Sandra Switzerland

    2. Sandra, This is not exactly the book you asked about, but in the State of New Jersey Index of Wills, Inventories, etc. available at online at genealogylibrary.com there is a reference to Frazer, Francis T., 6032Q. Inv. 1873. (Bibliographic Information: Crater, David S., State of New Jersey Index of Wills, Inventories, Etc.1913.) This book is an index only, and the date is wrong, but I thought I'd send it along. I didn't see your Lutheran Morris. 3. A LoriAnn Gillen (LORILA16@aol.com)(Mailbox not found) on a Gillen Surname Page asked to communicate with anyone with a genealogical interest "in Jersey City Gillens". I am a Jersey City Gilln, born there and have been researching JCity and New Bruns. Gillen/Gillin for about a dozen years. The family moved from New Bruns. during the Civil War period to settle in JCity. GGGrandpop was a railroad engineer. Does any one know of Lori Ann Gillen who said her father was Francis E. Gillen? I used my out of date 1994 Bell-Atlantic phone book to no avail. Phone numbers for F.E. Gillen and Francis Gillen of Middlesex County were out of service? Lori Ann may be a Rutgers student, but I'm guessing. I would really like to talk to this young lady. It could solve a few long unsolved genealogical problems. Thank you for any effort.

    2. Mary Hobein
    3. My ggg grandfather, Richard Rappleyea (variation Rapalje) married Alice, whose last name was probably Covenhoven or Conover (variation Kouwenhoven) in Middlesex County NJ, probably in New Brunswick around 1797. Alice was born around 1776, possibly in Bergen, now part of Jersey City, Hudson Coounty NJ. If anyone has any additional information about Alice or Richard, I would be most grateful. Their son, Richard (1814-1884) was born in New Brunswick and died in Jersey City, so there would probably be family connections in both places.
