I believe the Special Collections and Archives in Alexander Library, Rutgers, has surveys of old cemetaries. A unified list? That might be ambitious. Time to make the donuts, Rob

    2. kevin and rika
    3. Would anyone have an idea where people were buried in New Brunswick in the 1850's ? Before St. Peter's opened , as they are not there. The people I am seeking could be Catholic. There would be 2 adults who died 1855 and before , and 2 children who died around 1860-1865 , and I would imagine a family plot under the name McSpadin , McSpaden , McSpeden or McSpaeden. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Mahalo , Kevin

    1. [NJMIDDLE] Ships lists
    2. Pat Mount
    3. Yesterday I sent a notice that the Olive Tree Genealogy has recently organized its ships' passenger lists by Place of Arrival. This new organization of my lists is in addition to the existing files organized in Chronological Order by Year of Arrival. I did this to assist researchers who are looking specifically for ships arriving at a specific location, such as Canada, USA, etc. It seems there was some confusion over my announcement, so please allow me to clarify my original note. While I haven't counted all my passenger lists, there are hundreds -- and I estimate I have between 850 and 950 lists total. There are over 500 lists for 1800-1900; and approximately 150-200 lists each for 1600s and 1700s. I have a total of 67 lists for 1400s, 1500s and 1900s. The Olive Tree Genealogy INDEX TO SHIPS' PASSENGER LISTS has the following options: Ships' Lists Arranged by Year of Arrival: Ships Sailing in 1400s Ships Sailing in 1500s Ships Sailing in 1600s Ships Sailing in 1700s Ships Sailing in 1800s Ships Sailing in 1900s Ships' Lists Arranged by Country of Arrival: Ships Arriving in Australia & New Zealand Ships Arriving in Canada Ships Arriving in South Africa, Ships Arriving in South America Ships Arriving in United Kingdom Ships Arriving in U.S.A. All About Ships: Definitions of Early Ships Link to Maritime History of the Great Lakes Link to Maritime History Archives of Newfoundland (offers research services) Link to The Maritime History Virtual Archives Link to Maritime Museums of North America, Including Canada (Over 600 maritime, lighthouse, canal, museum entries) Link to Great Lakes and Seaway Shipping Link to Historical Collections of the Great Lakes Link to National Maritime Museum - London Link to Peabody Essex Museum Link to Institute of Maritime History for Maine Link to The 19th Century Lower St. Lawrence River Maritime History Link to Tayside (Scotland) Maritime History Other Sites with Information on Ships & Immigration/Emigration Books with Information on Passenger Lists Email Discussion Lists Go to http://www.rootsweb.com/~ote/indexshp.htm These are the *same* passenger lists and ship information files I have always had online -- the only difference is they are now organized in a new way (by port of arrival) as well as the old way (by year). I did this to help my visitors to The Olive Tree Genealogy in their research.:-) You can still search for ships passenger lists by year of sailing and of course you can search for a specific surname of interest on The Olive Tree Genealogy's *two* search engines at the Welcome Page http://www.rootsweb.com/~ote/ Please feel free to forward this message (exactly as written) to others who might be interested. 1. [NJMIDDLE] Re:Family named FEASTER/FEISTER/FESTER
    2. I am trying to get information on John Fester/Feaster/Feister who came over from Baveria about 1850. He files his request for citizenship about 1852 according to his naturalization papers under the spelling Fester. He had two wives one named Margaret who had at least 2 children Henry born in 1865 and a daughter.margaret who was born in 1863..The 2nd wife was named Caroline who had a son Joseph who was born in 1880. There was a mention of two other children ,George and ,William, but I don't know where they fit in. I think the children all used the spelling Feaster. I even located some stuff under Feister. Henry was my grandfather. On a trip north from Florida I stopped at St.Peter's Cemetery and got some info bur couldn't find John.I have a feeing since the children went to the German school, maybe there was a church and a cemetery. If anyone can help , I would appreciate .it. Oops. I forgot, the town is New Brunswick,N.J.

    1. [NJMIDDLE] Passenger list by arrival location
    2. Pat Mount
    3. The Olive Tree Genealogy has recently organized its ships' passenger lists by Place of Arrival. This is in addition to the existing files organized in Chronological Order by Year of Arrival. This should assist researchers who are looking specifically for ships arriving in any U.S.A. locale! To search for ships arriving in various ports within U.S.A., please go directly to: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ote/tousa.htm Passenger Lists of ships to the U.S.A. begin in 1492 with Columbus' voyage (Passenger lists of the Santa Maria, Nina and Pinta are online) and end with the 1949 voyage of the Fortunato to New York. My first list for voyages to New Netherland is De Endracht in 1630, and ends with De Trouw in 1664. You can still search for ships passenger lists by year of sailing and of course you can search for a specific surname of interest on The Olive Tree Genealogy's *two* search engines at the Welcome Page http://www.rootsweb.com/~ote/ Please feel free to forward this message (exactly as written) to others who might be interested. These land records were property of The Proprietors of East Jersey. Last year they disbanded their corporation and their land records were donated to the NJ State Archives in Trenton. I would contact the Archives to verify availability. Also, you can do research at Rutgers University, Special Collections NJ Room (M-F 9-5, Sat 1-5) or the NJ State Library in Trenton. -- Michelle Tucker Carteret, NJ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ukraine WorldGenWeb - Ivano-Frankivs'ka Oblast: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ukrwgw/ivano/index.html OKGenWeb County Coordinator: Cherokee Co.: http://www.rootsweb.com/~okchero2/index.htm OKGenWeb Archives: Adair Co.: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/adair/adair.html Sequoyah Co.: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/sequoyah/sequoyah.html Michelle's Home Page: http://members.home.net/famhist/shell.htm Countiss Connections: http://members.home.net/famhist/countiss.htm Woodbridge, NJ Amateur Radio Club http://members.home.net/famhist/k2odp/
