Posted on: Middlesex Co. NJ Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NJ/Middlesex?read=1064 Surname: Lucid, O'Neil ------------------------- My gg grandmother Bridget Agnes O'Neil was born abt 1845 in County Clare, Ireland. She came to South Amboy with her Mother Nancy O'Neil and her siblings. She was found on the 1850 census in South Amboy, Middlesex Co, NJ at the age of 5yr. I was unable to read the 1860 census for this county. She later married John Lucid abt 1866-67 we think in South Amboy. Their 1st 4 children were born there. Morris/Maurice, James, Mary, and Margaret. They then moved to Platte Co, NE. I'm uncertain when John Lucid and his 2 brothers Michael and James came to South Amboy from County Kerry, Ireland. I did not find them on the 1850 census. I would like to know what catholic church was established in this area at that time. How can I find better census film from 1860, and most importantly, I'm looking for any LUCID or O'NEIL families in the area today who may connect. Nancy O'Neil was found on the 1850 census head of the house with: Thomas, Micahel, John, James, Patrick, Bridget, James Keeley, and Charles Fitzgerald. I do appreciate your time, and any help you may be able to give me. Carolyn Olson-Everett,WA
I cannot find when my great grandfather Thomas Tynan died or was born. I know he was alive when his son was born in December 1905. His name is Thomas Tynan also, and he was born in New Brunswick. I know he died a few years after this Does anyone know where I can find someone to look up the 1905 census. Thank You Kathleen Tynan

My husband, Mark, is critically ill and has been transferred to the UMASS Medical Center in Worchester, MA. As this is over an hour drive one way for me, I will be mostly unavailable. I'll try to check on the lists as I can but coverage will be spotty. If you are having trouble unsubscribing PLEASE go to Rootsweb and get the directions! If you are waiting for a response to a lookup request, a general question, etc. there will be no answer anytime soon. Thank you for your understanding. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. I have FTM cd #240 which lists some (not all) marriages that took place in NJ between 1680-1900. The cd lists the names of the bride, groom, date of marriage, county of marriage, the source of the data, and the micro- film number that can be accessed for additional information. If you would like me to do a lookup for you, please e-mail me the name that you are interested in with "LOOKUP" listed as the subject. My e-mail address is listed below (so as not to clog up this list). Carolyn Johnson katiej3@prodigy.net

Dear Gentlepeople, I'm trying to track down any trace of my New Brunswick- born mother, who died when I was little, and her father, who was a Middlesex county physician, and who died when *she* was little. What I'm mainly seeking would be any 1930s directories that might include any of the points listed below, as well as some kind gentleperson who might be able to find the time to look up the information for me. I live in Poland, which makes it difficult (at least!) to access such archives directly. 1) the home address, in or near New Brunswick, ca. 1932 - 38, of Harold or Harry Schorr, MD; wife's name Grace, daughter's name Sally 2) the names and addresses of Middlesex County hospitals in the 1930s, where my mother could have been born and/or my grandfather might have worked 3) the names and addresses of New Brunswick primary schools that my mother might have attended in 1937 - 38 Thanks for your consideration, for any help and/or for any ideas of where I could turn for this kind of thing ... Stay safe and warm, Sherill
Hi Again, After sending off my last post to you on DeHarts from years gone by I was reminded by my hubby that the current MAYOR or Milltown is GLORIA DE HART. Hope you find this of some help or at least of interest. Not having gotten a reply from you makes me wonder is you saw my first post or it just went off into cyber space... I've found a few DE HARTs in Milltown, New Brunswick's near neighbor... In THE STORY OF MILLTOWN, by H. Rodney Luery, Published 1971... There is a WILLIAM DE HART included in a long list of those signing a petition, in October 22, 1888, to form a Borough Commission and set boundaries of the proposed borough of Millltown which was to be established from a area of North Brunswick. Earlier the City of New Brunswick and the Township of East Brunswick were created in the same way from what was originally North Brunswick. Then in the list of Borough Officials I found a few other DE HARTs listed. 1932 - Councilman HAROLD DE HART 1935 - Councilman JOSEPH DE HART 1936 - Councilman HAROLD DE HART 1937 - Councilmen JOSEPH DE HART & HAROLD DE HART 1938 - Councilmen JOSEPH DE HART & HAROLD DE HART 1939 - Councilman JOSEPH DE HART 1940-41 - Mayor JOSEPH M. DE HART 1942 - Mayor JOSEPH M. DE HART My Husband's Grandfather Albert Skewis was Councilman for several years and I see that Joseph De Hart and Albert Skewis both served in 1935. In 1936 Albert Skewis and both Harold and Joseph De Hart served as Councilmen. Did you already know this??? I'd love to hear if this is news to you. Hope this helps, Ruth, Sacramento, CA ________________ Ruth(Grady)&Don Skewis ruth4527@mindspring.com > -----Original Message----- > From: wmeier@snet.net [mailto:wmeier@snet.net] > Sent: Tuesday, May 30, 2000 5:21 PM > To: NJMIDDLE-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [NJMIDDLE] James DeHart of New Brunswick > > > Posted on: Middlesex Co.
