4/14 Are there any of these families in the Dunellen area?. I speak specifically of Evelyn Mae (McCabe) SWEIGART. Any history is appreciated. Thanks, Pat McCoy [email protected]
Dear Rooters, My grandmother, Esther Schraga, died in Muhlenberg Hospital but her death certificate shows that she was living at 383 North Avenue, Dunellen. This was 1922. I have been throught he entire 1920 census and can't find an address of 383 North Avenue. Find numbers all around that. Does anyone know what type of building 383 was? Could it have been a boarding house? Anyone know of this area at all? I would appreciate any help. Arlene Dunkum

Hi Jackie! Strangely enough, the answer may be yes--- but not the way you might think! Ferguson is my married name, and my husband is not related to James; but if it is the James Ferguson I think it is, he married Mary Runyon who was the daughter of Matilda Hoagland and Theodore Runyon. Matilda is my ggreat aunt. Is your James Ferguson buried in plot 209c at Elmwood? By the way, are you located in the New Brunswick area? My husband and I are in the process of moving back up there in about 3 weeks! I'll be able to do all kinds of research! The Ferguson plot is also known as Ferguson- Van Liew, as Matilda was Matilda Van Liew when she died; her other daughter, Libby Runyon is also buried there. Does any of this sound familiar? Looking forward to hearing from you! Alice Ferguson

Hi Alice, Saw you posting and was wondering, any connection to James Ferguson? Died 1919. Have no other info except his wife or daughter could have been Mary. She died 1920. Have the names in a book my mother-in-law kept which was her mothers book. It has a lot of family names with dates of birth and death. Unfortunately she was the youngest of about 10 or 11 children and didn't know who some of the people were. Obviously, these were mostly Middlesex County residents with some Somerset County. Thanks.
