Arlene: I'm assuming that your ancestor was Theodore Hedden. I have a complete roster of all of the 552 children who were residents of the Soldiers' Children's Home. The home was located on Hamilton Avenue, in the Chambersburg section of the city on the land that is currently Columbus Park. I have a complete set of annual reports, as well as some historical notes and several pictures of the building including one picture with a large group of the children standing out front. If I can help let me know. I have been in touch with others who have ancestors that were residents of the home. Maybe I could have you all share information.
