Lamberton was an part of Nottingham Township in Burlington County in 1819. It was annexed to the city of Trenton in 1856 & is now part of the South Ward. You can see it in the lower right hand corner of the map at: http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/%7Etrenton/historyoftrenton/Illustrati onns/C07-MunicipalGrowthMap.jpg I don't know if it was a popular place to get married, but there was a ferry across the river there. You'll find numerous mentions of the area in the section on water transportation from the History of Trenton: http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/%7Etrenton/historyoftrenton/transporta tion.htm Gary ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dova Wilson" <dwilson@irex.org> To: <NJMERCER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 28, 2000 5:54 PM Subject: Lamberton, NJ > Does anyone know where Lamberton, NJ was in 1819?
