David, Smith's Avenue and Cosey Place were between Cooper and Lamberton Streets. They were more the size of alleys (about 15 to 35 feet wide) rather streets (50 to 60 feet wide). Smith's Avenue (or Street) cut the block between Market Street & the Railroad tracks seen on the map at: http://www.oldmillhillsociety.org/research/photos-images/Map1860.jpg in two roughly equal sections. Cosey Place ran parallel to Cooper & Lamberton from Smith's Street to a now non-existant Shepherd Street which ran in front of the railroad tracks shown in the map.
