Hello, I recently copied a death certificate for a baby girl age 5 mths who died in Trenton in 1910 (July). The informant was David Norman, MD at the Children's Home Society. The address listed at the top of the certificate was 93 Carroll St, 1st Ward. This little girl was born in Burlington, Burlington Co. and is listed with her family in the 1910 census in Burlington. She was illegitimate. Her mother was widowed in 1907 and the father listed on the death cert. has a different last name. Could anyone give me more information on this home? Does this mean she was given up to be adopted or was abandoned? Causes of death were Malnutrition followed with Diarrhea and collapse within 24 hours, marasmus and intense heat.
