The Hunterdon Republican gives a very short obit for "George S. Holcombe," b. 1852; d. 10 May 1896. He was listed in the "Findagrave.com" by Mary Jo C. Martin, whose email I must have lost during my computer's crash a year or so ago! I was unable to positively identify him in any Census Record, but he was listed as having been married, in the NJ Death Index. Does anyone have the name of his wife and/or children, so I can add it to the abstracts of the Hunterdon Republican newspaper? He was also noted to have been a "Merch'T" - Merchant? in the New Jersey Death Index; any information on what kind of merchant?
