I've got information on Elijah Myers that seems to conflict with what you provided for the father of Cornelius. I'm beginning to think there was a second Elijah living in Delaware Twp.. married Lucretia Huffman in 1840 and Catharine Crips in 1850. He had Delaware Twp. land transactions in the 1850s. Just thought I'd share that. Thanks for the info on the Myers family. I am interested in Ephraim Meyers (born Dec. 1837) because it appears that he married one Cornelia H. Fox, daughter of Absalom Fox who was the son of George Fox and Elizabeth Sherman. It seems that Absalom traveled quite a bit, first moving to New York State, then moving to Ohio. After he buried his wife Ararat --?-- in Ohio, it seems that he moved back to Hunterdon County sometime between the census of 1850 AND 1860, accompanied by his two daughters Catherine and Cornelia (also born 1837. Cornelia was born in Ohio, though the 1900 census states New Jersey. This disagrees with the censuses of 1850, 1860 and 1880, which all claim Ohio. Cornelia is supposed to have married Ephraim in 1860 (after the census). According to the 1900 census , she bore five children of which four were still living.
