    1. Re: [NJHUNTER] Marriage record
    2. This marriage is not listed in the REVISED Deats book either. As far as your question about whether the original records in Hunterdon would reflect the birthplace of these people, I would have to say that you MIGHT get a clue from them, but only a very general one. I am looking at a copy of a page out of the register of marriages from 1853 - 1854 that contains the marrriage record of one of my collateral ancestors. By this time (which is the same period as you are looking ), the registers had become more uniform, and there was a blank for the place of RESIDENCE for the bride and groom, which was not necessarily their birth place. If I remember correctly didn't the Lori-lie or some spelling) lure ships onto the cliffs where they'd crash? omething I'm, thankfully, not known to do. 'smiling' The record I'm looking for is for Frances Jewett and John Doyle, July 855. I tried your suggestions, ancestry and the marriage records book nline at Internet Archives, but no luck. Familysearch had basic nformation, but no place of birth. Do you know if the originals in unterdon would list that? I would appreciate it if someone look in the revised copy of the arriage records book to see if it is there. isit the Hunterdon County GenWeb page at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~njhunter ------------------------------ o unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NJHUNTER-request@rootsweb.com ith the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of he message
