    3. Thank you, Susan... very nice of you to check so thoroughly. It's really odd that I cannot find a marriage record for my Gt-Gt-Grandparents. They are both mentioned in the Op Dyck Genealogy book...and I found property transactions as well. They lived on Tunnel Avenue at one time, and then owned/operated the Still Valley Inn out near Straw Church in the 1860's. -Rita On Feb 20, 2012, at 7:33 PM, Susan Pena wrote: > I looked at 3 different sections of the 1986 book and did not find these > names. 2. although Tunnel Avenue is in West Portal which is Hunterdon County, you may want to contact the Warren County Historical Society in Belvidere, New Jersey -- to note, there are various Vliet DAR societies, etc....the old historical Vliet farms (and old Vliet family graveyard on the one farm -- findagrave.com, as well as the various other graveyards in Bloomsbury with Vliets) are located in the Musconetcong Valley off Jugtown Mountain bordering West Portal/Bloomsbury... there is also a Vliet family history book and I'll send this along to one who has such, perhaps she can shed some light on your mystery... ----- Original Message ----- From: Rita Chesterton <rchesterton1@verizon.net> To: njhunter@rootsweb.com Sent: Tue, 21 Feb 2012 04:09:22 -0000 (UTC) Subject: Re: [NJHUNTER] Marriage record - VLIET Thank you, Susan... very nice of you to check so thoroughly.
