    3. My ancestors and a number of related families moved from Hunterdon Co. to the northern Kentucky area (mostly Mason Co.) in the 1790's to early 1800's. I believe they were mostly from the Hopewell area, and the surnames include Gordon, Stout, Runyan, Anderson, Donovan, Corwine, and Hart. I would really like to know something about their actual journey: why they left, how many went at a time, what route they took, etc. Does anyone have anything like this?     3. Add the DeMott family to that list. In my family's case, there was bounty land involved-given to two DeMott brothers who served in the Revolution from New York (just learned this at the David Library in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania; a great resource). At least three DeMott families apparently migrated. I'd long wondered why the DeMotts disappeared from New Jersey.
