I need help in trying to confirm the Marriage and death of my Uncle"s second wife. My Uncle has lived for many years in Lambertville, Hunterdon, NJ. His name is Harry De Witt jr. he was born on Oct 10, 1919 in Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey he is believed to have married a Marlene (maiden name unknown) on May 10, 1941 either in Stockton or Paterson NJ. Marlene is believed to have died in Lambertville or Stockton, Hunterdon NJ on 8 Jan 1995. Any help in confirming this marriage wives maiden name and death would be greatfully appreciated. He also had a prior marriage that ended in a divorce, of which nothing is know except that there was at least one son who died most likely between 1980 and 1995 in either Stockton or Lambertville, New Jersey after having lived in San Francisco. This son was living with Harry's only daughter by his second wife. She is married now and both her first name and current surname are unkown. Any help in this additional matter would also be greatly appricated. I have hit a brick wall here. Thank you for your help. -- Yours, Ralph. Ralph, Your uncle is still living in Stockton. If you like, I can provide the telephone number privately. If not, I understand. Marlene DeWitt was b 07.19.1937 and d 01.15.1995. Her entry on the SSDI shows as "M. M. DeWitt" # 136-30-8965 (NJ). You probably know that the SS7 form would provide her maiden name. There may be an obituary available in the "Hunterdon Democrat Newspaper" that could possibly give more information. I have some time off work during the holidays, and could do a lookup for you. Also, I could check the Hunterdon County Surrogate's Court. Let me know how you would like to proceed. Happy Holidays!!! Beverly G.
