They had a book on the information desk on one of the floors that showed how the changes in the counties occured over the decades. Sussex and Hunterdon were HUGE counties and each graphic showed the counties breaking up. You might want to call your local FHC at your local LDS church and see if they have a copy of the book. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find my WOLFORD ancestor in 1770s/1780s in that area. I suspect he did not own land, but was probably living with someone that did at the time. Maybe he rented land. I couldn't find him on early tax records, either, so if you owned horses, etc, perhaps it was included in the larger picture. Regards, Diane Wolford Idaho
