Dear List Members! I have noticed LOTS of people on this list not re-titling their e-mails in their subject line to reflect what their e-mail is about. PLEASE re-title your e-mail so it pertains to what you are saying instead of just pushing "reply" and using an old title. Not adding your own title either causes people NOT to read something that maybe they woudl have been interested in, or causes them to have to sort through unnecessary e-mails that don't pertain to them! There are lots of interesting things on this list, but when you belong to several, it really helps if you can weed through by the Subject Line! Thanks! Valerie
I would also suggest that people capitalize surnames, for easier reading. ValerieAuld@aol.com wrote:Dear List Members! Ahhh...Are we talking about the NJ to Loudoun string...I suppose all of us should have added our sur-name to the subject line but if you go back and read them you will find that they were, for the most part, on the subject of who moved from the Hunterdon New Jersey area to Loudoun County Virginia....so the content of the e-mail did pertain to the subject line...They were all very interesting ..at least to me as that is what I suspect happened to those I am searching... Is that inappropriate when you are on the same subject ? just asking....? ----- Original Message ----- From: "john newman" <johnfnewman@yahoo.com> To: <NJHUNTER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 22, 2005 9:03 AM Subject: Re: [NJHUNTER] Please Retitle your e--mails to this list >I would also suggest that people capitalize surnames, for easier reading. > > ValerieAuld@aol.com wrote:Dear List Members! > I have noticed LOTS of people on this list not re-titling their e-mails in > their subject line to reflect what their e-mail is about.
