Elizabeth YAWGER 3/12/1839 - 12/29/1914 married Wilson LEIGH 3/8/1862 Henry I YAWGER abt 8/28/1808 -10/10/1889 married Elizabeth NEWELL 10/15/1828 John YAWGER Abt. 4/1768 - 2/1/1847 married Mary EVERITT I have additional info on others as well. Hi! My husband also descends from Yawgers in Hunterdon County. Our Yawger line goes back to a Philippe Heinrich Yawger who immigrated from Cobentz, Germany, sometime around 1755. He died in 1786 in New Jersey. His children were Henry, John, William, Philip, Jr., and Peter. Philip, Jr. is my husband's 6th great grandfather. Do your Yawgers fit anywhere into this family? Our major focus is on Philip Jr. and his daughter Catherine, who married a Thomas Jobs, but we have tons of information on the Yawger family. To date, we have 132 Yawgers in our family history.
