    2. I found several documents mentioning Wilsons in the Old Hunterdon book. This is later than your William but it mentions Wilsons in New York and Middlesex Co., NJ which might be a helpful clue. These are abstracts only. If you wanted to see the document, you could probably write the County Clerk. Volume 1 special Deeds p. 246 Power of attorney dated 11 Oct 1817 from Charles S. Stewart of New York City to Martha Wilson of Otsego Co., NY regarding lands in the townships of Bethlehem, Alexandria and Amwell in Hunterdon Co. and Hardwick in Sussex Co., Wit: (T.) Stranahan, A. Jorden, and J. M. Bowers. 29 Jan 1818. P. 250 Power of attorney dated 14 Nov. 1816 between Robert L. Livingston and Margaret Maria, his wife of Clermont, Columbia Co., NY to William Wilson of the same regarding lands in Hunterdon County part of lands of which Mrs. Mary Livingston, widow and relict of Hon. Robert L. Livingston of Clermont died seized... p. 253 Power of attorney dated 4 Feb 1818 from Robert L. Livingston to William Wilson (see above for details)...this time the property referred to was three farms; one in the possession of Jacob Eyck; one in possession of Benjamin Wilson and the last in the possession of Jacob Hopkins. Wit: Wm. W. Vanness. 19 March 1818. p. 360 Power of attorney dated 28 June 1822 from Rebecca (Rebecah) Wilson and other heirs of Samuel Wilson to Josiah Wilson of Woodbridge, Middlesex Co., ...we, Rebecca (widow of John Wilson), Samuel Wilson (executor and one of the heirs of John Wilson), Ann (Anna) Wilson and Arrabella Wilson, children of John Wilson (who was one of the heirs and sons of Josiah Wilson, dec'd) and Isaac Wilson, James Wilson, Cornelius Voorhees and Elizabeth, his wife; John Jacobs and Catherine, his wife; William M. 3. My own Hunterdon County family has a brief connection to Otsego, N.Y., and I am curious about why. Does anyone know of any other 19th century links between Hunterdon County families and families in Otsego? Thank you.
