I have a Joseph HOUSEL who possibly married Susan LAKE on 28 Nov 1846 in Hunterdon Co, NJ. Any verification of this marriage would be most helpful. Susan was born on 13 May 1796 in Hunterdon Co and was the daughter of Isaac LAKE (4 May 1757 Hunterdon Co - 15/16 Oct 1825 Hunterdon Co) and Elizabeth GODOWN (born 5/6 Mar 1763 Hunterdon Co, daughter of Evans GODOWN). I also have Amy HOUSEL (or Fanny/Fanney, b 18 Aug 1807, d 6 Jul 1868, bur Lower Amwell Cem, Delaware Tp, Hunterdon Co, NJ) marrying Thomas LAKE (b 7 Feb 1800 Hunterdon Co, NJ, d 10 Mar 1883 near Locktown, Delaware Tp, Hunterdon Co, NJ, bur Lower Amwell Cem, Delaware Tp, Hunterdon Co, NJ). Thomas LAKE is the brother of the above Susan LAKE. Children of Amy HOUSEL & Thomas LAKE: Elizabeth, Sylvester H, Isaac, Charles & Samantha. I suspect Joseph HOUSEL and Amy HOUSEL to be siblings.
