    1. RE: [NJHUNTER] Obituary Indexes from the Easton Express--Online

    3. Dear Kay & List; I joined this list two years ago in the hopes of tracking down a mystery relative, Grace (Runyan) Strine. I knew just about everything about her except for when & where she died. Thanks to you, I just found her on the Easton Express obituary index - dated September 29, 1954, page 30. I've been at this family history quest for five years, and (excuse the lapse in modesty) I'm pretty good at it. I've filled in a lot of blanks for myself and for other researchers, but dear old Aunt Grace has successfully hid from me until just now. Now if I can just find her big sister, Florence (Runyan) Miles... Many thanks and happy hunting to all, Fuller Runyan Harrisburg, PA -----Original Message----- From: KaySFO@aol.com [mailto:KaySFO@aol.com] Sent: Tuesday, June 14, 2005 5:09 PM To: NJHUNTER-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [NJHUNTER] Obituary Indexes from the Easton Express--Online I just wanted to let everyone know that the staff at the Marx Room at Easton Area Public Library, Easton, PA, has put their obituary indexes online. These indexes are of obits published in the Easton Express, and cover the years 1920-2004. There is also a mail service provided to enable those living far away to obtain the obits they find online. Many Hunterdon residents had their obits published in the Easton Express, so it will be definitely worth your while to look if you have family members who died during this time period. To access this---go to _www.eastonpl.org_ (http://www.eastonpl.org) and then click on the words local history in the left hand side bar. This will take you to the page for the Marx room and you will see the information for the indexes in big bold letters.
