    3. Dear Bob, The name Albertus is an odd and unusual one in Hunterdon County, but one would expect to find the name Albertus in a college with German roots. The most famous Albertus was the Catholic philosopher Albertus Magnus who lived in Germany in the 13th century. If you check Henry Z. Jones' Palatine Migration books, you will find a few of that name. The one we've been discussing lived from 1751 to 1839 in an area of Hunterdon that was settled by many Germans in the early to mid 18th century. To have someone show up with that name in the mid 20th century is kind of amazing. -----Original Message----- From: Bob Kitchen [mailto:dkitchen@kcnet.org] Sent: Saturday, June 04, 2005 5:50 PM To: NJHUNTER-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NJHUNTER] Albertus Myers I've been watching the notes concerning Albertus Myers, and wondering.... When I entered Muhlenberg College (Allentown, Pa.) in 1958, there was an Albertus Myers (descendant?) who was a famous band director in Allentown. Not too many people have that first name.
